Tennessee lawmakers are at it again—pushing unnecessary legislation that grants powers county commissions already have. HB0056/SB0039 claims to improve accountability, but if removals are already possible, what's the real motive? Another example of performative politics.
Tennessee’s HB0622 and HB0923 claim to dismantle DEI but lack enforcement, penalties, and oversight—making them symbolic rather than effective. While Trump aggressively purges DEI, Tennessee lawmakers pass feel-good bills with no teeth. Voters must demand real action.
Bill Petty Exoneration

Rep. Monty Fritts defends his vote against the school voucher bill, citing constitutional misalignment, fiscal irresponsibility, and rushed debate. He calls for principled governance and accountability.
Rep. Jody Barrett condemns Tennessee’s school voucher bill, calling it a costly government overreach driven by special interests. He warns it threatens rural schools, fiscal stability, and true school choice.
Williamson County Medical Board

Governor Lee’s school voucher plan faces sharp opposition from conservatives warning of state overreach into private education. A Tennessee SEC member lays out the constitutional dangers of the proposal.
Tennessee’s special session fast-tracked the school voucher bill using voice votes instead of roll calls, avoiding transparency. Why the rush if Tennesseans truly support this? The details tell another story.
