Williamson County School Board 2024
New Williamson County School Board Members Sworn In, Josh Brown Appointed Chair at First Meeting of the Year

The first Williamson County Schools Board meeting of the year kicked off with new board members being sworn in and a fresh leadership team taking the helm.
The meeting, which saw a room filled with family and friends to help celebrate the new additions, comes on the heels of what was one of the most unexpected and yet weirdly appropriate races, considering the political landscape of Williamson County Republican politics.
New board members include those who now fill all the seats in the odd numbered districts, D1 Tony Bostic, D3 Dr. Dennis Driggers, D5 Dr. Margie Johnson, D7 Melissa Wyatt, D9 Claire Reeves, and D11 Tonya Hibma.
In a move that surprised exactly no one paying attention, Josh Brown was named the new Chair of the Williamson County Schools Board.
Brown, the former Vice President of Government Relations at Pfizer, is no stranger to the spotlight—or controversy. Brown first stepped into his school board seat through a neat bit of political maneuvering when District 4 commissioners appointed him in 2021 to replace Brad Fiscus, who left mid-term after his wife, Michelle Fiscus, was fired from the Tennessee Department of Health over vaccine-related controversies. Yes, that saga.
